....The San Francisco Giants beat the Texas Rangers 3-1 tonight, winning the World Series 4 games to 1. Tim Lincecum struck out 10 over 8 innings, Brian Wilson picked up the save with a perfect ninth and Edgar Renteria, the Series MVP, belted a three-run homer in the seventh to power the Giants to their first World Series win since the franchise moved to the West Coast in 1958, their first since the New York Giants swept Cleveland in 1954 and their sixth all-time.
