MIAMI -- Talk about looking in the mirror.
Tampa Bay took a good look at itself Friday night when the team traveled south to play Florida in the first game of a three-game Interleague series at Sun Life Stadium.
"They're a good ball club, yes [it felt a little bit like we were looking in a mirror]," Rays manager Joe Maddon said. "They play with a lot of energy. They've got some really interesting position players on the field. They pitched well, very physical out of the bullpen. They have a nice ball club."
Both Major League teams in Florida are blessed with great pitching. Friday night, Tampa Bay came up a little short in the Sunshine State's arms race 5-3 with 18,111 watching.
