Western Hockey League roundup for Sunday, September 29th, 2019













Calgary Hitmen 2, Medicine Hat Tigers 0

Carl Stankowski made 33 saves and Adam Kydd scored twice to lead Calgary to the win before 4,810 at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Mads Sogaard made 28 saves for Medicine Hat.

Lethbridge Hurricanes 5, Edmonton Oil Kings

Three goals in the latter stages of the third period pushed Lethbridge to the win, in front of 4,388 at Rogers Place. Dylan Cozens scored twice, once short handed and added two assists. Oliver Okuliar and Calen Addison scored power play goals and Bryan Thomson made 24 saves. VladimirAllstrov and Riley Sawchuk scored for Edmonton, Todd Scott stopped 25 shots.

Winnipeg ICE 5, Regina Pats 2

Winnipeg's three-goal third period pushed them to the win, before 3,744 at the Brandt Centre. Carson Lambos scored a pair for Winnipeg, with Michal Teply, Cole Muir and Isaac Johnson adding singles. Will Gurski made 19 saves. Regina goals were scored by Robbie Holmes and Austin Pratt, Danton Bulluk made 20 saves. Both teams went 2-for-4 on the power play.

Vancouver Giants 4, Kelowna Rockets 0

3,767 at the Langley Events Centre looked on as both Milos Roman and Justin Sourdif scored twice and David Tendeck had to stop just 14 shots in the Giants win. Cole Schwebius made 25 saves for Kelowna.
