Brandon Wheat Kings 5, Red Deer Rebels 2
Brandon lit the lame three times in the 2nd period to power to the win, before 3,074 at Westoba Place. Ben McCartney scored twice for the Wheat KIngs, Luka Burzan, Nolan Ritchie and Duncan Pierce one each, with the goal by Pierce coming on a penalty shot. Goaltender Ethan Kruger made 23 saves. Red Deer goals were scored by Arshdeep Bains and Mason Ward, Byron Fancy had 33 saves.
Prince Albert Raiders 6, Edmonton Oil Kings 3
The Raiders broke open a 1-goal game with a 3 goal 2nd period to win, in front of 4,032 at Rogers Place. Ozzy Wiesblatt led the Prince Albert attack with 2 goals and 1 assist, Moe Spencer also had 2 goals and an assist, Brayden Watts had a goal and 3 assists, Ilya Usau a goal, Aliaksel Protas 2 assists and Boston Bilous 17 saves. For Edmonton, the loss snapped a 7 game win streak. Oil Kings goals were scored by Matthew Robertson, Keagan Slaney and Liam Keeler. Todd Scott and Sebastian Cossa teamed up for 24 saves.
