Western Hockey League roundup for Tuesday, November 13th, 2018













Moose Jaw Warriors 7, Tri-City Americans 0

3,230 at Mosaic Place in Moose Jaw went home happy, as the Warriors scored early and often, rolling past Tri-City. Tristan Langan had a goal and 3 assists, Josh Brook and Brayden Tracey had a goal and two assists each, Jett Woo, Daemon Hunt, Yegor Butalski and Tate Popple each scored once and Brodan Salmond made 32 saves. Beck Warm made 22 saves for Tri-City.

Saskatoon Blades 4, Medicine Hat Tigers 2

Saskatoon scored twice in each of the final two periods and went 8-of-9 on the penalty kill to top the Tigers. Blades goal scorers were Max Gerlach, Kyle Crnkovic, Chase Wouters and Kirby Dach. Nolan Maier made 37 saves. For Medicine Hat, Ryan Chyzowski scored both goals, Jordan Hollett made 33 saves. 2,866 looked on at SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon.

Kootenay ICE 5, Regina Pats 2

A 2 goal third period put it away for the ICE, before 1,965 at Western Financial Place in Cranbrook. Martin Bodak for Kootenay and Sebastian Streu for the Pats scored in the first, Zachary Patrick and Dallas Hines for the ICE and Austin Pratt for Regina in the second, made it  3-2 in favor on Kootenay through 40. In the third, the ICE put it away with goals by Cole Muir and Cameron Hausinger on the power play to win it. Duncan McGovern made 38 saves to pick up the win, his 6th of the season. The tandem of Max Paddock and Dean McNabb made 28 saves for the Pats.

Spokane Chiefs 3, Seattle Thunderbirds 2 (OT)

Luke Toporowski scored with 62 seconds to go in overtime to win it for the Chiefs. Regulation goals for Spokane were scored by Ethan McIndoe and Ty Smith, both in the third period, to help overcome a 2-0 deficit. Payton Mount in the first and Zack Andrusiak in the second scored for Seattle. In goal, Dawson Weatherill stopped 37 pucks, including a penalty shot for the Chiefs. The Thunderbirds Liam Hughes made 34 saves. Attendance at accesso ShoWare Center in Kent was 4,253.
