Western Hockey League roundup for Thursday, December 27th, 2018













Regina Pats 3, Brandon Wheat Kings 2

Pats built a 3-1 lead early in the third, then held on for the win, before 3,582 at Westoba Place. For Regina, Sergei Alkimov scored twice, Robbie Holmes once and Max Paddock made 21 saves. For the Wheat Kings, Ridly Greig and Cole Reinhardt scored once each and Ethan Kruger made 19 saves.

Swift Current Broncos 4, Moose Jaw Warriors 3 (OT)

Alex Moar's 1st goal of the season at 1:58 of overtime, won it for the Broncos. Carter Chorney, Matthew Culling and Matthew Stanley also scored for Swift Current, with Joel Hofer making 39 saves. For Moose Jaw, goal scorers were Jet Woo, Brayden Tracey and Keenan Taphorn, Brodan Salmond made 17 saves. Attendance at Mosaic Place was 3,756.

Prince Albert Raiders 4, Saskatoon Blades 3 (OT)

Brayden Pachal scored twice, including the winner 33 seconds into overtime, to win it for Prince Albert. Noah Gregor also scored twice for the Raiders, Donovan Buskey made 23 saves. For Saskatoon, Kyle Crnkovic, Eric Florchuk and Max Gerlach scored goals, Nolan Maier made 27 saves. Attendance at SaskTel Centre was 4,631.
