The Tampa Bay Rays' longest skid of the season reached three games last night, with an 11-inning, 5-4 loss to the Angels.

After falling behind 4-0 through four innings, Tampa Bay clawed it's way back into the game, with a run in the eighth and three more in the ninth. Willy Aybar blasted a two-run homer in the ninth, forcing extra innings. Juan Rivera then won the game for the Angels with a sacrifice fly in the eleventh.

Grant Balfour(0-1) lost out of the bullpen for the Rays, Trevor Bell(1-0) fanned the only man he faced, to pick up the win for L.A. John Jason went 3-for-5 with an RBI for Tampa Bay, Torii Hunter drove in 2 for the Angels. The Rays(22-10) lead the Yankees(21-10) by 1/2 game in the A.L. East.

The three-game set continues tonight, first pitch on 620AM WDAE is set for 10:05pm EDT.
