Fohr Named Assistant Coach at National Team Development Program

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Nick Fohr has been named assistant coach at USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program in Ann Arbor, Mich., it was announced today. Fohr will help guide the U.S. National Under-17 Team in the 2011-12 season.

“Nick is highly regarded and will be a terrific addition to our coaching staff,” said Scott Monaghan, senior director of operations at the NTDP. "He brings the energy, commitment and experience needed to help our players reach their full potential."

Fohr most recently completed his second stint at the University of Nebraska at Omaha as director of hockey operations. He previously served in the same position from 2004-07 before working behind the bench as assistant coach for the Mavericks (2007-2010). Fohr also spent time at UNO as an undergraduate assistant coach in 2002-03.

Prior to his time with the Mavericks, Fohr was an undergraduate assistant coach at Miami University.

"Very few people get the opportunity to represent their country on such a large stage," said Fohr. "I'm extremely excited and look forward to getting started right away."

Fohr was a four-year letterwinner with UNO (1998-2002) and also played for two seasons with the United States Hockey League's Lincoln Stars (1996-98), where he earned a spot on the USHL All-Star Team in 1997-98.

Fohr replaces Chadd Cassidy, who left to become an assistant coach with the American Hockey League's Rochester Americans after five seasons at the NTDP.

This mixture proved toxic for the Giants, whose World Series title defense appeared increasingly futile after a 7-0 loss to the Chicago Cubs.

TORONTO -- While David Price was striking them out, Desmond Jennings was hitting them out.

They proved to be an unbeatable combination for Tampa Bay, as the Rays won their third game in a row over the Toronto Blue Jays, 12-0, on Sunday before 21,618 at Rogers Centre. The Rays have won the first three games of the four-games and go for a sweep on Monday.

Price had a franchise-high 14 strikeouts to go to 9-1 in his career against Toronto. The Rays had 18 strikeouts in the game, also a franchise record.

Jennings hit two home runs in a game for the first time in his career, to give him eight for the season. Both were against Toronto starter Brandon Morrow (9-9) who also gave up a two-run homer to Sean Rodriguez.

SONOMA, Calif. -- Following the brief PEAK Performance Pole Award ceremony in Infineon Raceway's Victory Circle, Will Power noted that to remain close in the IZOD IndyCar Series championship he'd need to "just keep finishing ahead of Dario. It's as simple as that."

It was simple enough in the Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma as Power pulled away early, didn't have any issues on pit lane, withstood the lone restart challenge and went on to become the first two-time winner in seven years of the event on the 2.303-mile, 12-turn road course.

With the bonus points for the pole start and leading the most laps (71 of 75), Power pulled to 26 points of front-runner Dario Franchitti of Target Chip Ganassi Racing, who finished fourth.

TAMPA -- Josh Freeman proved Saturday night against the Dolphins he still does his best work with the clock winding down.

That might be good because time is quickly running out on the Bucs quarterback to get the offense tuned up for the regular season.

Freeman looked out of synch until directing a tying 54-yard touchdown drive over the final two minutes of the first half.

With the Bucs trailing 10-3 with 2:09 remaining in the quarter, Freeman, running a no-huddle offense, completed three passes and scrambled for 17 yards to set up Earnest Graham's 2-yard touchdown run.

The Bucs won the game 17-13 when third-string quarterback Rudy Carpenter connected on a 7-yard touchdown to tight end Nathan Overbay. It was a much better performance overall for the Bucs than their 31-14 defeat to the Patriots on Aug. 19.

SAN FRANCISCO -- Mark DeRosa and Jeff Keppinger combined to manufacture a tiebreaking run in Saturday night's 10th inning to lift the Giants past the Houston Astros, 2-1.

With one out, DeRosa singled off Houston right-hander Fernando Rodriguez (2-3) and stole second base, his first theft since Sept. 12, 2009. Mike Fontenot struck out before Keppinger lined a 2-2 pitch over the head of Astros second baseman Jose Altuve for a single. DeRosa slid home, beating right fielder Brian Bogusevic's throw.

The decision kept the Giants three games behind first-place Arizona in the National League West standings.

BRISTOL, Tenn. -- Brad Keselowski's phoenix-like rise from the ashes continued Saturday, with an improbable victory in the Irwin Tools Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway -- his third win of the season and his second since breaking his left ankle Aug. 3 in a crash during testing at Road Atlanta.

Keselowski grabbed the lead on a restart with 80 laps left in the 500-lap Sprint Cup race and held on to win for the fourth time in his career. The victory all but assured Keselowski of at least a wild-card position in the upcoming Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.

Martin Truex Jr. ran second, followed by Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson and Jamie McMurray. Matt Kenseth, Denny Hamlin, pole-sitter Ryan Newman, Carl Edwards and Marcos Ambrose completed the top 10.

How to watch the videos on Oh Baby Vision

In the upper left hand corner, there's three horizontal lines. Click that once or twice and it'll bring up thumbnails of all the movies. Click on the one you want to watch and it'll start. It may play the next one automatically, or you may have to click the little box to bring the thumbnails back up.

Now with the addition of more videos, just use the scroll bar on the right to choose the one you want to watch.

I hope you like 'em
