In that "other" football league last night:

On Saturday: Tampa Bay at Miami, Detroit at Pittsburgh, Cleveland at Green Bay, Houston at Arizona, Minnesota at St. Louis, Chicago at San Diego and Tennessee at Seattle.

ST PETERSBURG -- The Tampa Bay Rays, who had yesterday off, get back to action this evening at home against the Baltimore Orioles. The Orioles, who lost at Cleveland 4-1 last night, have won 8 of their last 10.

East, 2 games behind the Yankees, while leading Boston by 4 games and the White Sox by 5 1/2 in the Wild Card race. Nothing like a good breakfast (and Dinosaur Train) to start your day.

SAN FRANCISCO -- Andres Torres didn't start Thursday's game because of tightness in his legs.

But by the time he stepped into the batter's box in the ninth inning, Torres' legs were more than loose.

Torres spent the bottom of the ninth pacing up and down the dugout, anxiously awaiting his chance to hit. With one out and the bases loaded, Torres got his chance, hitting a game-winning single to center field to give the Giants an 8-7 win over the Cubs at AT&T Park.

Read the rest here.
