What city's got the fastest Internet available? Seattle? Washington, D.C.? Nope, it's Chattanooga. It's city-owned electrical utility has started offering an Internet service that is more than 200 times faster than the current national download speed average. That's not speed everyone will buy, however, since the cost is $350 a month.

Reid Brignac's 11th inning walk-off homer capped a magnificent night of baseball last night at the Trop, giving the Tampa Bay Rays a 1-0 win over the New York Yankees and sole possession of first place in the A.L. East.

The crowd of 26,907 roared their approval all night long, as starting pitchers David Price and CC Sabathia matched zeros through 8 innings, with Price allowing just three hits, and Sabathia allowing just two. After the bullpens took over, the game remained scoreless into the bottom of the 11th, when Brignac, in the game after Carl Crawford's 9th inning ejection, launched a 3-2 breaking pitch for a lead-off homer, giving the Rays the win and moving their past the Yankees in to first in the A.L. East.

Reliever Grant Balfour pitched the 11th, allowed 1 hit, but ended up with the win, improving to 2-1. Yankees' reliever Sergio Mitre allowed Brignac's homer, falling in 0-3. The win moves Tampa Bay into sole possession of first in the A.L. East for the first time since August 4th.

Notes: Tonight's pitching matchup has Matt Garza(14-8, 3.68) on the mound for the Rays against the Yankees' Ivan Nova(1-0, 2.92).....The win was the Rays' first 1-0 walk-off win in franchise history....The crowd, which was expected to be on the small side, responded with solid numbers and lots of noise....September has not been kind to Rays slugger Carlos Pena. Entering Tuesday's follow-up against the Yankees, Pena has only two RBIs in the final month of the regular season, including another 0-for-4 performance with three strikeouts on Monday....Carl Crawford was ejected from Monday night's contest in the bottom of the ninth after arguing balls and strikes with home-plate umpire Tom Hallion. It was the second time of the season Crawford has been ejected for arguing balls and strikes, the last time coming May 25th vs. the Red Sox. His replacement in the batting order, Brignac, hit the walk-off home run in the bottom of the 11th to give the Rays a 1-0 victory

The San Francisco Giants, now 1/2 game behind first place San Diego in the N.L. West, took last night off.
They open a three-game series with the Dodgers tonight at AT&T Parl in San Francisco. First pitch tonight is 10:15pm EDT.

Notes: Barry Zito(8-12, 4.14) goes to the mound tonight for the Giants against the Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw(11-10, 2.99)....Aaron Rowand and Cody Ross will bear watching in this three-game series. The veteran outfielders should be in the mix to man center field in place of Andres Torres, who is sidelined for 10-14 days after undergoing an emergency appendectomy. Prior to the surgery, Torres was mired in a 5-for-47 slide at the plate in his previous 12 games....Tim Lincecum racked up his 200th strikeout Sunday, marking the third consecutive season he's done that....The Giants finished their 10-game road trip with a 7-3 record....The Giants' 1-0 loss at PETCO Park on Saturday marked the 19th such final score at the Padres' digs since it opened in 2004. That's the most in that stretch, four more than the 15 at Dodger Stadium.
