ST. PETERSBURG -- Thirty minutes after the Rays dropped the series finale, 9-2, to the White Sox on Thursday night, Tampa Bay's players poured back out onto the field.

Dressed in this road trip's theme -- T-shirts supporting the Tampa Bay Lightning's NHL playoff push -- the team gathered for an impromptu picture. After the group shot, something funny happened: One by one, each player returned to the dugout rail, until only Sam Fuld was left. Once a relative no-namer who landed in Tampa Bay as a piece of the Cubs' trade for Matt Garza, Fuld had earned his own photo shoot.
