Ken Miller mystified by Riders' woes.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Toronto Argonauts put their matching 1-6 records up against each other at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario this coming Thursday, August 18th. Rod Pedersen and Carm Carteri call the action on 620 CKRM and the Rider Radio Network beginning at 7:30pm EDT. The game can also be seen in Canada on TSN and in the U.S. on the NFL Network (I hope. I mean, they say they are carrying the game, but they ditched broadcasts they previously said they were going to carry two or three times this season already) and online at ESPN3.com.

ATLANTA -- Striving to return to the postseason, the Giants provided reminders of last October's National League Division Series by smacking clutch hits, receiving Madison Bumgarner's admirable pitching and repelling the Atlanta Braves' formidable challenge.

Actually, not quite.

"This was kind of a similar game, I guess," Bumgarner said, "until the end."

The end nullified a determined Giants effort. Freddie Freeman's two-run single off closer Brian Wilson capped Atlanta's three-run rally in Monday night's ninth inning that gave the Braves a 5-4 walk-off victory.
