I used to think depression was something that was well, something people used as an excuse just to not be happy. I now know different. If you think you might suffer from depression, get some help. You can take back control of your life. If you know someone who suffers from, or might be suffering from depression, encourage them to seek help and be their friend. Depression is a serious illness, but with help, it can be beat.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fl. -- A three-run seventh inning spoiled what had been another dominant outing for David Price, as the Rays dropped a 3-2 decision to the Orioles in the series opener Friday at Tropicana Field.
It was the 13th time this season the Rays have lost when their pitcher has gone seven or more innings and only allowed three earned runs or fewer.

SAN FRANCISCO, Ca. -- Maybe the Giants relish the September stage.
Playing their first game of the month Friday, they performed with urgency and efficiency rarely seen during their woeful August as Carlos Beltran homered during a 4-for-4 night and Cody Ross also homered to back Matt Cain's eight-inning effort in a critical 6-2 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The Giants' ninth victory in 13 games this year against Arizona left them five games behind the National League West-leading D-backs. Though that's a daunting deficit, San Francisco surged from four games behind the San Diego Padres to three ahead of them during an 18-8 September last year.
