Plans for next summer's London Olympics are well under way and a big part of the planning involves the nominations for the Olympic Torch relay. A computer scientist at Aberystwyth University has nominated a robot to be part of the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay. The 3 foot tall iCub robot has been nominated by Dr. James Law to mark the centenary in 2012 of the birth of Alan Turing, the father of modern computer science.

Unfortunately for the Rays, Tuesday night can be filed away in the latter category. The Yankees did everything right in a 5-0 win at Yankee Stadium, leaving the Rays clinging to the hope they can turn things around in their final nine games of the season to earn a berth in the 2011 postseason.

By losing, the Rays moved to 85-68 on the season and 2 1/2 games behind the Red Sox, who were hosting the Orioles at Fenway Park..
