Despite Monday’s defeat serving as the sixth loss in the team’s last seven games, Lightning head coach Guy Boucher said the recent results have not affected the team’s attitude in coming to the rink every day.

“Guys are upbeat and they continue to come in every day ready to work hard,” Boucher said. “They’re focusing on the details and they’re very much focusing on getting better.”

Five members of the Southern Mississippi pep band have been kicked out of the band and had their scholarships revoked after they embarrassed the university during the NCAA Tournament by yelling, "Where's your green card?," at an opposing player who was born in Puerto Rico. [Since Puerto Rico is part of the United States he doesn't need a green card. But I can think of five people who apparently don't have a GED.]
