Indianapolis, IN. -- In the days before the big race, and today, on the day of the big race, there will be sadness. On Thursday night, the drivers got together and gave Susie Wheldon, his wife, Dan's championship ring.

Saturday, during the driver's meeting, Wheldon's car owner, Bryan Herta, received his ring.

Today, the cars Wheldon drove to Victory Lane will take pre-race laps on the track, and during the race, on laps 26 and 98, fans will be asked to don Wheldon's trademark goofy white sunglasses.
