St. Petersburg, FL. -- Alex Cobb thanked his teammates in appropriate fashion on Thursday for the generosity they'd extended him on Saturday.

He did so by posting zeroes, nine innings' worth, in a 5-0 win over the Athletics at Tropicana Field. It's his first career complete game, as well as his first career shutout.

De Guigne wanted something original to show off her skills, so she staged the wedding of the year. De Guigne said Barbie was tired of waiting so she asked Ken to get married. Leaving the mound with two runners on in the ninth inning and no outs, Barry Zito apologized to manager Bruce Bochy for not closing out the game.

But as he departed to a standing ovation from the AT&T Park crowd, Zito had very little to apologize for. He had shut out the Braves for eight innings, and though Jeremy Affeldt would allow the two inherited runners to score, Zito's masterful outing powered the Giants to a 5-2 win in Thursday's opener of the four-game series.

Angry Birds creators Rovio has announced a new chapter to Angry Birds Space. The update is titled "Red Planet", and will send players to the fields of Mars for more bird-on-pig rivalry. NASA helped Rovio create the trailer by giving them footage taken by the Mars Rover Curiosity from the planet's surface. In addition, the additional levels will include NASA vehicles as part of the architecture.
