Total Hockey Renews Partnership With USA Hockey Through 2015-16 Season

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Total Hockey has extended its partnership as the exclusive hockey equipment retailer of USA Hockey for four years, taking it through the 2015-2016 season.

“We are extremely pleased to continue our relationship with Total Hockey,” said Dave Ogrean, executive director of USA Hockey. “They’re committed to helping us grow the game, truly care about the overall well-being of the sport and are wonderful ambassadors of the game.”

As part of the agreement, Total Hockey will continue its sponsorship of USA Hockey’s Youth National Championships and Coaching Education Program in addition to supporting USA Hockey's growth efforts by awarding learn-to-play starter equipment sets to programs using innovative ways to increase the number of players at the 8-and-under age level.

New sponsorship elements for Total Hockey will include ties to Try Hockey for Free days, the Learn To Play program and the American Development Model. Total Hockey will also support The Hockey IntelliGym, USA Hockey’s revolutionary, software-based training tool that helps develop players’ hockey sense.

"Thanks significantly to our work with USA Hockey, Total Hockey saw some of its greatest growth and development during the first four years of this sponsorship relationship that began in 2008," said Michael Benoit, founder, president and CEO of Total Hockey. "As we embark on the first of what we hope will be many renewals of the sponsorship, we have increased enthusiasm about leveraging our equipment and customer service experience to help grow USA Hockey membership. We anticipate supporting USA Hockey on many fronts as we work together to expand the penetration and reach of the game."

Total Hockey's partnership moving forward will also include supporting the USA Hockey Foundation by matching $1 donations made by its customers, a practice that first started in November 2008.
