German weightlifter Matthias Steiner dropped a bunch of weight on his head Tuesday. The gold medal winner from the Beijing Olympics attempted to snatch just over 432 pounds. The bar got behind him and fell to the back of his head. As he laid in pain, officials came out and tended to him, no doubt fearing the worst. But amazingly, he got up and walked off the mat under his own power.

Barry Zito had a specific game plan in mind heading into Tuesday night's start in St. Louis. He'd seen Cardinals hitters foul off pitch after pitch and battle against Matt Cain a night earlier, and Zito knew he'd have to be aggressive against a tough lineup.

Curly fries at McDonald's? Not in the U.S. For a limited time, McDonald's is selling its version of curly fries in the Philippines. "Twister Fries" are already making big waves and have been available since August 1, and will only be on the menu for three short weeks. Fans already are begging the fast-food chain to keep them on the menu.
