A Canadian dentist is on a quest to find a woman he spoke with for maybe two minutes in a cafe in Ireland last year. Sandy Crocker visited County Clare last summer and asked a young woman for directions to a tourist spot. They spoke briefly, he left, became hopelessly smitten, and is now back in County Clare for a month trying to find the woman he thinks should be his wife. The problem: He doesn't know her name or anything else about her. Crocker says, "Maybe it's a shot in the dark but if it is meant to be, if it's fate, then I might bump into her walking down the street or in a shop somewhere.

St. Petersburg, FL. -- Tampa Bay reliever J.P. Howell probably never thought that wrestling with his dog, Rosie, would ever come in handy during a pennant race. But he said that playing with his Portuguese Water Dog gave him the agility to make a play that saved the game-tying run in the seventh inning of the Rays 3-0 win over the Blue Jays on Sunday at Tropicana Field. It helped preserve the shutout and clinch the sweep, giving Tampa Bay its fifth straight win.

Turkish rescue workers retrieved a lifeless woman from the Black Sea after police were notified by panicked residents. Police cordoned off a wide stretch of beach and sent a team of divers into the water to rescue the drowning woman. The team quickly discovered it was in fact a blow-up doll.
