Boston, MA. -- For the third time this season the Boston Bruins erased a multigoal deficit.

Saturday, however, Brad Marchand made sure the comeback wasn't in vain -- he scored the game-winning goal on a 2-on-1 with Patrice Bergeron with 2:16 left in the third period to give the Bruins a 3-2 victory against the Tampa Bay Lightning at TD Garden.

1993 - The Elvis Presley compilation album "The King of Rock 'n' Roll - The Complete 50's Masters" was named Best Reissue Album in Rolling Stone magazine's 1993 Music Awards Critic's Picks.

In New York state high school basketball, with 2.9 seconds left in the Section 1 Class AA championship game, Mt. Vernon was leading New Rochelle 60-58. New Rochelle had possession and was inbounding for a last-second heave. They threw it to half-court where it was stolen by Mt. Vernon. Mt. Vernon thought the game was over and did a half-toss -- New Rochelle got the ball back and made a half-court shot with .1 second left. Here's the must-see, must-share video.

Today in Beatles History:

1966 - An interview with John Lennon was published by "The Evening Standard" in London. In the article Lennon said "Christianity will go. It will vanish and shrink. I needn't argue that. I'm right and will be proved right. We're more popular than Jesus right now." The comment resulted in worldwide Beatles record burnings.

1996 - The remaining Beatles issued a statement that they had turned down an offer to tour together. The deal was offered at $225 million.

1996 - The single "Real Love" was released in the U.K. The song was originally featured on Lennon's "Imagine" soundtrack.

In Portland, Oregon, Raleigh Reynolds was allegedly about to participate in a narcotic business transaction. But police say a 911 dispatcher got to listen in on the proceedings, as Reynolds inadvertently called it in with a butt dial. With the help of GPS technology, the call was traced to a back alley just one block from the police station. Reynolds and another suspect were arrested.
