1998 - "Elvis The Concert 1998 Tour" opened at New York's Radio City Music Hall. The show featured several of Elvis' touring musicians in front of a large video screen of Elvis in concert.
2001 - James Burton was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He had been lead guitarist for Elvis Presley from 1969-1977.
2003 - Lisa Marie Presley performed three songs from her upcoming album "To Whom It May Concern" at the National Association of Recording Merchandisers' annual convention.

A power company in China cut off a woman's power supply over a debt and refused to reconnect her until she paid up. Instead she stripped off in front of staff at the power company's offices. Staff called police, who persuaded the woman to get dressed. As soon as police left, however, she took her clothes off for a second time and exasperated officials then agreed to reconnect her supply without payment.
