USA Hockey Participates in 2013 IIHF Women's High-Performance Camp
Five Players and Three Staff Members to Represent USA Hockey
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Hockey announced today that five players and three staff members will participate in the 2013 International Ice Hockey Federation Women’s High-Performance Camp from July 14-20 in Sheffield, Great Britain. The camp provides 180 players born in 1995 from 18 nations with a training program that creates the right environment for success as elite women’s ice hockey players, both on and off the ice.
The U.S. will be represented by forwards Danielle Cameranesi (Plymouth, Minn./ Blake High School), Sydney Daniels (Southwick, Mass./ Westminster School) and Kelly Pannek (Plymouth, Minn./Benilde-St. Margaret’s School), as well as defensemen Natasha Rachlin (Brookline, Mass./Assabet Valley U16) and Taylor Willard (Naperville, Ill./Chicago Mission 19).
On behalf of USA Hockey, coaches Heather Linstad (Vernon, Conn.) and Linda Lundrigan (Roslindale, Mass.), and strength coach Dawn Strout (Waterville, Maine) will take part in the mentoring program. Linstad served as head coach at the University of Connecticut (HEA) for the previous 13 seasons. Lundrigan has spent 10 seasons on the coaching staff at Northeastern University (HEA) and currently serves as the associate head coach. Strout has spent the past three years at Colby College (NESCAC) as the school’s first-ever strength and conditioning coordinator.
