1957 - 
Elvis Presley's "Peace In The Valley" hit #39 in the U.S. 

1964 - Elvis Presley recorded the vocals to the second version of "Roustabout" after the principal photography was shot. This version of "Roustabout" was written by Bill Giant, Bernie Baum and Florence Kaye. 

1976 - Bruce Springsteen climbed the wall of Graceland to meet Elvis Presley. Elvis wasn't home. 

2003 - The Elvis Presley album "Live At The Louisiana Hayride" was released.

A 15-year-old boy from a small town outside of Ottawa, Ontario, set the world record for solving Rubik's Cubes using only one hand. Antoine Cantin averaged 12.56 seconds at the competition. Cantin solved five Rubik's Cubes, and the average was calculated after eliminating the fastest and slowest times. | Video

... He's planning on going to the world's largest Rubik's Cube competition in New Jersey this summer.

1970 - George Harrison announced the forthcoming release of his first solo album, "All Things Must Pass." He also said that he expected the Beatles would one day re-form. 

2002 - Paul McCartney won a court order to prevent the auction house Christie's from selling his handwritten lyrics to the song "Hey Jude." McCartney claimed that the sheet of note paper had disappeared from his house. The sheet of paper was expected to sell for around $116,000. 

2008 - "The Chipmunks Sing the Beatles Hits" album was reissued again on compact disc by Capitol Records.

A sheriff's office in Montgomery County, Texas, has lost the ShadowHawk drone they've had since 2011, when the quarter-million dollar machine decided to take a plunge into a lake late last week. According to the Houston Chronicle, the emergency-only device has a "camera and an infrared scanning device" but can also carry a grenade launcher or 12 gauge shotgun, according to its designers.
