U.S. Women's Under-18 Select Team Falls to Canada, 3-2, in Under-18 Series Opener
Competition continues tomorrow (Aug. 22) at 8:30 p.m. ET
CALGARY, ALBERTA — The U.S. Women’s Under-18 Select Team lost the first game of the Under-18 Series versus Canada, 3-2. Alyssa Gorecki (Monee, Ill.) and Rebecca Gilmore(Wayland, Mass.) scored for Team USA and Brittany Bugalski (Lake Worth, Fla.) made 28 saves.
"We settled in as the game went along, made the necessary adjustments and competed hard," said Joel Johnson, head coach of the U.S. Women's Under-18 Select Team. "I was very proud of the effort and look forward to the next game.”

U.S. Women's Under-22 Select Team Beats Canada, 2-1, in First Game of Under-22 Series
Competition continues tomorrow (Aug. 22) at 5 p.m. ET
CALGARY, ALBERTA — The U.S. Women’s Under-22 Select Team won its opening contest against Canada in the 2014 Under-22 Series. Dana Trivigno (Setauket, N.Y.) and Shiann Darkangelo (Brighton, Mich.) each tallied a goal, while Alex Rigsby (Delafield, Wis.) stopped 26 of 27 Canadian shots, finishing the game with a .963 save percentage.
"We had a lot of energy tonight and it showed in how we played,” said Ken Klee, head coach of the U.S. Women’s Under-22 Select Team. “I thought we had good composure and awareness which we benefitted from.”
