The Tampa Bay Juniors were in action over the weekend weekend. The Empire team played the Florida Junior Blades, losing 5-3 on Saturday and 8-2 on Sunday while the Elite team played the Roswell Bulldogs, losing 5-3 on Saturday and 4-3 in a shootout on Sunday. This coming Friday, Saturday and Sunday, both the Empire and Elite teams will be taking part in the Raleigh Showcase, with all games to be webcast on Fasthockey.com. According to the latest research (American Time Use Survey and Pew Research Center), parents together now spend 27.6 hours a week on chores, down from 36.3 in 1965. Some of their new free time is being spent on their children. They spend 20.8 hours a week on child care, up from 12.7 in 1965.
