The Tampa Bay Juniors Elite team stretched their win streak to six games over the weekend, with a pair of wins at the Roswell Bulldogs.
On Saturday, October 11th, the Juniors won 5-1. Jared Goudreau, Christopher Aastrom, Romain Wild, Trey Stern and Brock Thompson scored goals. Michael Krch made 27 saves. The power play went 2-for-3 and the penalty kill was 5-of-5.
On Sunday, October 12th, the Juniors won in overtime, 5-4. Jared Goudreau scored twice, including the game winner 15 seconds into the extra session. Nick Frankich, Trey Stern and Brock Thompson scored goal. Michael Krch, in relief of starter Nick Levesque, made 21 saves. The power play was 3-for-6 and the penalty kill was 4-of-6.

Coming up this weekend, both teams will be in action. On Saturday, October 18th, the Empire Juniors play Palm Beach at 5:15pm, while the Elite team has the night off. On Sunday, the Florida Eels will be the opponent for both Tampa Bay teams. The Elite game starts at 9:30am EDT, while the Empire game starts at 12:15pm EDT. (Games are flip-flopped this weekend only.) All games will be carried on Fasthockey.com.

So somebody went ahead and made a deep fried version of Starbucks’ beloved pumpkin spice latte. Food blogger Amy Erickson of Oh, Bite It came up with the idea. To create the treats, Erickson suggests using store-bought angel food cake or poundcake. Then you basically just soak them in a pumpkin spice latte, fry them and sprinkle them with cinnamon and sugar.
