Kristen Wright Named Manager of Girls' Hockey Player Development
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Kristen Wright (St. Paul, Minn.) has been named manager of girls’ hockey player development it was announced today by USA Hockey.Wright, who earned her law degree from the University of Colorado in May of 2011, has served as the head coach of the University of Colorado women’s ice hockey team, an American Collegiate Hockey Association Division I member, since May of 2009. Last season, the University of Colorado Collegiate Sport Clubs named her its coach of the year. She played four years of college hockey (2004-2008) for NCAA Division III Connecticut College (New London, Connecticut), a member of the New England Small College Athletic Conference. Wright served as team captain her junior and senior campaigns and in 95 career games with the Camels tallied 18 goals and 30 assists. She was a two-time AWCHA National Scholar Athlete and graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and international relations in May of 2008. Wright, who played on the Shattuck-St. Mary’s School Girls’ Prep Team from 2002-2004, will serve as head coach of the 2015 U.S. Women’s National University Team that will compete in the Winter World University Games from Feb. 4-14 in Granada, Spain. She was the assistant coach for the U.S. Women’s National University Team that earned a bronze medal in the 2013 Winter World University Games, the first men’s or women’s team from the U.S. to medal in the event. Additionally, Wright is a USA Hockey Level IV official and has been an evaluator at the USA Hockey Colorado state player development camps.
Natalia DePauw Named Membership Services Department Administrator
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Natalia DePauw (Colorado Springs, Colo.) has been named department administrator for membership services it was announced today by USA Hockey.DePauw comes to USA Hockey from USAA Insurance where she was a financial foundations associate. The Colorado Springs, Colorado, native is a 2004 graduate of Pikes Peak Community College where she earned an associate of arts degree.
USA Hockey Announces Promotion of Three Staff Members
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Hockey today announced the promotion of three staff members, including Scott Aldrich, Kevin Couture and Katie Holmgren.Aldrich, who has been with USA Hockey since 2003, has been elevated to manager of hockey operations. His previous time with USAH has been spent in adult hockey, first as coordinator of adult hockey and for the last eight-plus years as manager of adult hockey. Couture has been promoted to director of events. A member of the USA Hockey staff since November of 2004, he has served in varying capacities in the organization, including stints in inline and adult hockey and since April of 2010 as manager of events and marketing. Holmgren has been promoted to manager of adult women’s hockey. She has been with the organization since 2010 and was USA Hockey’s first-ever coordinator of adult women’s hockey. |
