U.S. Shuts Out Germany, 6-0, in World Juniors Prelim Game
Halverson Gains Shutout in Team USA Debut; Larkin Tallies Three Points
MONTREAL — Brandon Halverson (Traverse City, Mich./Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds) stopped all 14 shots he faced, while Dylan Larkin (Waterford, Mich./University of Michigan) notched a pair of goals to lead the U.S. National Junior Team to a 6-0 victory over Germany in its second game of the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship.
“I thought we played a real good hockey game,” said Mark Osiecki, head coach of the 2015 U.S. National Junior Team. “We were a bit sloppy in the first period, but came out in the second and third periods and played much better.”
