Wenatchee, WA. – The Wenatchee Wild is pleased to announce that forward Brendan Harris has committed to play college hockey for Bemidji State University.
Harris, a 19 year old, 5’7” 160 pound left handed shooting forward from Las Vegas, Nevada, is in his third season with the Wild. He has career totals of 31 goals, 73 assists and 60 penalty minutes in 121 games, plus another 3 goals, 5 assists and 2 penalty minutes in 15 career playoff games. “I’m very proud to announce the next chapter of my hockey career at Bemidji State.” Harris said. “Very thankful to have such great coaches and teammates. Couldn’t have gotten that scholarship without them. I’m very confident that the coaching at Bemidji will help me have a successful college career. This is a very exciting time for me and my family and I’m happy to have done this in a Wenatchee Wild jersey.”
Bemidji State University competes in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association. The school, located in Bemidji, Minnesota, was founded in 1919. The Beavers have competed in four NCAA Division 1 tournaments, making it to the Frozen Four in 2009. As an NAIA member school, the Beavers won nine national titles.
