Lethbridge Hurricanes 4, Red Deer Rebels 3
Red Deer couldn't overcome a 4-1 deficit, as Lethbridge won before 3,106 at Westerner Park Centrium. Dino Kambeitz, Justin Hall and Koletrane Wilson all scored on the power play for the Hurricanes, Oliver Okullar scored an insurance marker and Bryan Thomson made 26 saves. For the Rebels, Zak Smith scored twice, Jayden Grubbe once and Ethan Anders made 23 saves.
Swift Current Broncos 7, Prince George Cougars 2
A 4 goal 2nd period was the difference in the Broncos win, with 1,732 looking on at CN Centre. Joona Kiviniemi lead the Swift Current onslaught with 3 goals and 1 assist. Hendrik De Klerk and Aiden Bulych added a goal and assist each, Hayden Ostir and Matthew Culling each scored a goal, Ben King had 3 assists and Isaac Poulter made 31 saves. For the Rebels, Filip Koffer and Reid Perepeluk scored the goals, Tyler Brennan and Taylor Gauthier combined to make 19 stops.
Brandon Wheat Kings 10, Tri-City Americans 2
Brandon scored 3 in the 1st, 5 in the 2nd and 2 more in the 3rd to steamroll Tri-City, in front of 2,499 at Toyota Center. For the Wheat Kings, Lynden McCallum had 2 goals, 1 assist, Jonny Hooker scored twice, Ben McCartney and Luka Burzan each tallied a goal and 2 assists, Marcus Sekundiak and Connor Gutenberg a goal and assist each, Cole Reinhardt and Jonny Lambos each scored once, former American Dom Schmiemann had 3 assists, Ethan Kruger and Connor Ungar combined to make 25 saves. For Tri-City, Marc Lajoie and Edge Lambert scored goals, while Beck Warm and Mason Dunsford combined to make 31 saves.
