Western Hockey League roundup for Monday, October 28th, 2019













Seattle Thunderbirds 2, Calgary Hitmen 1

Seattle scored twice in the the 1st, then held on to win, before 4,738 at the Scotiabank Saddledome. For the Thunderbirds, Matthew Wedman scored 33 seconds into the contest, then Keltie Jeri-Leon scored at 2:54. Calgary responded with a goal by Layne Toder at 11:03 of the 2nd, but the Hitmen could get no closer. Roddy Ross sparkled in goal for Seattle, stopping 33 of 34 shots faced. Calgary's goaltender, Brayden Peters battled hard too, stopping 26 of 28 shots faced.
