Western Hockey League roundup for Tuesday, October 8th, 2019













Medicine Hat Tigers 4, Portland Winterhawks 2

Medicine Hat came from behind with a 3 goal third period to win before 2,427 at Canalta Centre. James Hamblin scored in the second period for the Tigers, with Brett Kemp, Daniel Baker and Trevor Longo scoring in the third. Mads Sogaard made 26 saves. For Portland, Jonas Brondberg and Clay Hanus scored goals, Isaiah DiLaura made 44 saves.

Prince Albert Raiders 4, Vancouver Giants 2

Justin Nachbaur, Aliaksel Protas, Kaiden Guhle and Iiya Usau scored goals, Carter Serhyenko made 25 saves for Prince Albert. For Vancouver, David Tendeck made 22 saves, Justin Sourdif and Jackson Shepard scored goals. Attendance at Art Hauser Centre was 2,389.

Edmonton Oil Kings 5, Regina Pats 3

Regina skated to a 3-0 lead after one, but Edmonton came back, scoring twice in the second and three times in the third to pull out the win, before 3,708 at Brandt Centre. Liam Keeler, Jalen Luypen, Vladimir Alistrov, Ethan McIndoe and Dylan Guenther scored for the Oil Kings, Sebastian Cossa and Todd Scott combined for 15 saves. The Pats got goals from Kyle Walker, Robbie Holmes and Austin Pratt, Max Paddock made 34 saves.
