The Oregon State baseball team's intrasquad scrimmage in Medford today has been cancelled due to expected inclement weather in the Southern Oregon region.

The finale of the Orange and Black Series was scheduled for a 12 p.m. PDT start at Harry & David Field. However, the team will now stay in Corvallis.

There has been no determination on when and if the final game of the Orange and Black series will be played at Goss Stadium.

PHILADELPHIA -- Jonathan Sanchez, who has spent the last few seasons pitching in the shadows of his San Francisco rotation-mates, has the chance Saturday to own the spotlight all alone.

For one night, Sanchez does not have to be overshadowed by Cy Young Award winners (Tim Lincecum and Barry Zito) and All-Stars (Matt Cain). He won't have to watch, wishing that such accolades and notoriety will also one day trail him.
