This just in....

The 2010 Major League Baseball post-season started on a historic note, as Roy Halladay, in his first-ever post season appearance, no-hit the Cincinnati Reds, leading the Philadelphia Phillies to a 4-0 win in game one of their best-of-five NLDS.

Shane Victorino scored in the first inning on Chase Utley's sac fly to open the scoring. In the second, Halladay singled home Carlos Ruiz, then Victorino singled up the middle, scoring Wilson Valdez and Halladay, for a 4-0 Phillies lead.

Halladay cruised through the night, striking out 8 and walking just 1.Reds starter Edinson Volquez lasted just 1 2/3 innings, allowing 4 runs on 4 hits, with 0 strike outs and 2 walks.

Halladay's no-hitter is just the second in the history of Major League Baseball. The first came in the 1956 World Series, when Don Larsen pitched a perfect game to beat the Brooklyn Dodgers.
