Principal filming was finished for the Elvis Presley movie "Double Trouble."

1969 - The Elvis Presley album "From Elvis In Memphis" hit #1 in the U.K.


French police said three sisters brought in over $206,000 they found stashed in their deceased brother's couch. The sisters traveled from Algeria to clear out the apartment that belonged to their brother. The women discovered the money and a social security card and bank card belonging to their father, who died in 1995. Police think the women's brother had been continuing to collect on his father's pension in the years following his death.

The Beatles' "Hey Jude" was released.

1972 - John Lennon and Yoko Ono played their "One To One" concert at New York's Madison Square Garden.

1984 - Beatles fans paid $271,180 for memorabilia at an auction in London, England.

2005 - The Paul McCartney single "Fine Line" was released on a CD-single. The release also contained the non-LP tracks "Comfort in Love" and "Growing Up Falling Down".
