A video of a fish being forced to smoke a cigarette has been uploaded online and has animal lovers upset. The video shows the fish posed upright on a plank of wood on a boat with the lit cigarette wedged into its mouth. Someone can be seen pointing at the fish as the cigarette burns for about 30 seconds before falling from the fish's mouth. It is not known who filmed the footage or where the incident occurred. | Video

A pregnant New Zealand woman is accused of throwing a knife which embedded in her boyfriend's skull. The woman, who is eight months pregnant, allegedly threw the knife during an argument. The boyfriend told cops, "It was a good throw."

1926 - Gertrude Ederle became the first American woman to swim the English Channel. She was 19 years old at the time. The swim took her 14 1/2 hours. 

1949 - Chicago White Sox player Luke Appling played in the 2,154th game of his 19-year, major league career. 

1952 - Satchel Paige, at age 46, became the oldest pitcher to complete a major league baseball game.
