Corvallis, OR. -- The Gary Andersen Oregon State football era will officially begin Friday, Sept. 4 at 5 p.m. against the Weber State Wildcats, Beaver Director of Athletics Bob De Carolis announced Wednesday. The game was originally scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 5.

Elvis Presley finished recording the song "Wear My Ring Around Your Neck." He added the piano part and guitar back-slap percussion part. The song was released in April 1958 with "Doncha' Think It's Time" as the flip side. 

1964 - Elvis Presley arrived at Paramount to begin pre-production on the movie "Roustabout." 

1966 - U.S. President Lyndon B. Johnson visited Elvis Presley on the set of the movie "Spinout." 

2007 - The 36-track "Readymade Digs Elvis" was released.
