The Tri-City Americans continue their 11-game road swing tonight with a contest against the U.S. Division leading Everett Silvertips at Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett.
This is the second of eight meetings between the two teams this season. In the only previous meeting, a two-goal effort by Riley Sutter staked the Tips to a three-goal lead through 40 minutes, with Everett hanging on for the 3-2 win in Kennewick.
The Silvertips, who ended the Americans season with a 4-2 series victory in the Western Conference finals last season, are led in scoring by Stelio Mattheos, with 14 goals, 11 assists and 22 penalty minutes in 15 games. Carl Stankowski has 11 appearances between the pipes, compiling a 4.14 goals against average. For Tri-City, Captain Nolan Yaremko leads the way, with 10 goals and 14 assists in 13 games. Kyle Olson has 27 penalty minutes and Beck Warm, who has played net in 12 of the Americans' 13 games, has 8 wins, a 2.81 goals against average and a .906 saves percentage.
