Saskatoon Blades 5, Moose Jaw Warriors 2
After skating to a 1-all tie after the open 20 minutes, the Blades took control and skated past the Warriors, in front of 3,125 at Mosaic Place in Moose Jaw. Max Gerlach scored twice, Kirby Dach a goal and assist, Jackson Caller and Josh Patterson a goal each, Dorrin Luding 24 saves for Saskatoon. For the Warriors, Tristan Langan and Keenan Taphorn lit the lamp, while Brodan Salmond made 31 saves.
Prince Albert Raiders 7, Kootenay Ice 2
A 3 goal second period was key, as Prince Albert won for the 9th straight game and 16th time in 17 starts. The league's leading scorer, Brett Leason tallied 2 goals and 2 assist, Carson Miller had a goal and assist, Spencer Moe, Noah Gregor, Sean Montgomery and Parker Kelly had a goal apiece, while in goal, Ian Scott made 17 saves. Kootenay goals were scored by Cole Muir and Nick Bowman, Jesse Makaj made 32 saves. 2,722 were on hand at the Art Hauser Centre in Prince Albert.
Edmonton Oil Kings 5, Regina Pats 1
Edmonton scored twice in the second and three times in the third to win in front of 4,676 in Regina's Brandt Centre. Brett Kemp led the Oil Kings with 2 goals and an assist, Logan Dowhaniuk, David Kope and Conner McDonald had a goal each, Trey Fix-Wolansky added three helpers and Dylan Myskiw made 24 saves. Pats captain Jake Leschyshyn scored Regina's lone goal and Max Paddock stopped 17 Edmonton shots.
Swift Current Broncos 5, Lethbridge Hurricanes 4 (OT)
An overtime goal 2:59 in by Noah King broke an 8 game winless skid and gave the Broncos their first win since October 13th, just their second win in 17 tries this season, overcoming a 3-1 deficit in the process. Other Swift Current lamp lighters were Max Patterson, Andrew Fyten, Ben King and a power play goal with 36 seconds left in regulation by Connor Horning that forced the extra session. Scoring for the Hurricanes were Calen Addison, Noah Boyko, Jadon Joseph and Ty Kolle. In goal, Joel Hofer made 42 saves, Reece Klassen made 35 for Lethbridge.
Calgary Hitmen 7, Medicine Hat Tigers 5
In a good ol' fashioned scoring duel, two late goals gave the Hitmen the win before 5,229 at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary. Mark Kastelic scored twice, including an empty netter with 65 seconds remaining, while adding an assist to lead the Hitmen. Jake Kryski tallied a goal and 2 assists, Egor Zamula had a goal and an assist as did James Malm, Vladislav Yeryomenko and Tye Carriere chipped in with singles and Carl Stankowski made 27 saves. For Medicine Hat, goals were scored by Eric Van Impe, Hayden Ostir, Dylan MacPherson, Tyler Preziuso and Cole Clayton. Mads Sogaard made 33 saves.
Brandon Wheat Longs 3, Kamloops Blazers 2 (OT)
In front of 5,027 at the Sandman Centre in Kamloops, Stelio Mattheos scored at 3:34 of overtime to give Brandon the road win. Mattheos also scored with 9 seconds left in the second period. The other Wheat King goal was scored by Chase Hartje. Goaltender Jiri Patera made 32 saves. Blazer goal scorers were Zane Franklin and Luke Zazula, Dylan Ferguson had 38 saves.
Portland Winterhawks 7, Victoria Royals 3
5,867 filed into Portland's Moda Center to watch the Winterhawks skate past Victoria. Portland led 3-1 after one, then broke a 3-3 tie with 4 straight goals to grab the win. Cody Glass had a goal and 3 assists, Ryan Hughes and Joakim Blichfeld a goal and assist each, with Reece Newkirk, Brendan De Jong, and Jared Freadrich a goal each. Shane Farkas saved 18. Victoria scorers were Kaid Oliver who netted two and D-Jay Jerome, with a goal and an assist. Griffen Outhouse made 21 saves.
Prince George Cougars 4, Seattle Thunderbirds 1
The Cougars won at home before 2,372 at CN Centre, scoring all four of their goals in the first period. Josh Maser, Joel Lakusta, Vladislav Mikhalchuk and Tyson Upper scored for Prince George. Samuel Huo scored with 38 seconds remaining for Seattle to break the shutout. Prince George, who went 2-for-7 on the power play, got 21 saves from Isaiah DiLaura, with Cole Schwebius making 29 saves for the Thunderbirds.
Tri-City Americans 4, Everett Silvertips 2
The Americans grabbed first in the U.S. Division with their sixth straight win, knocking off Everett in front of 5,119 in the Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett. After a scoreless first, the two teams combined for three goals in 38 seconds in the second. Import Krystof Hrabik scored for Tri-City at 6:18, the Tips Connor Dewar scored at 6:45 and the Americans Sasha Mutala scored at 7:06. Tri-City's Nolan Yaremko would add a power play goal at 19:24, pushing the visitor's lead to 3-1 through 40 minutes. In the third, an Everett goal by Riley Sutter at 12:35 brought the home squad within one, but Tri-City wrapped it up with an empty ney goal by Parker AuCoin at 19:59. Beck Warm was the game star for the Americans, making a season high 53 saves, with Dustin Wolf recording just 12 saves for Everett.
