Western Hockey League Roundup for Thursday, November 1st, 2018













Kootenay ICE 4, Saskatoon Blades 2

A three-goal third period propelled Kootenay to the road win in front of 3,802 at Saskatoon's SaskTel Centre in the WHL's only game of the night. Kristian Roykas Marthinsen staked Saskatoon to a 1-0 lead at 11:45 of the 1st. Nick Bowmen's goal for the Ice tied it up 36 seconds later. The Blades broke the tie with a goal 15 seconds from the end of the second off the stick of Gary Haden, but Kootenay then took over in the third, with goals from Brad Ginnell at 6:02, Jaeger White at 9:32 and Payton Krebs at 18:56. Duncan McGovern had 32 saves for the ICE and Nolan Meier had 27 stops for Saskatoon.
