Everett's Bryce Kindopp leads the league in scoring. 3 goals and 3 assists in 2 games. Seth Bafaro of Vancouver is second with 5 points, on 2 goals and 3 assists.
Jake McGrew of Spokane, Jackson Shepard of Vancouver and Carson Denomie of Moose Jaw have all scored 3 goals in the early going.
Ben McCartney of Brandon leads the WHL with 12 penalty minutes in 2 games.
There have been two shutouts registered so far. Dustin Wolf in a 6-0 win over Victoria and Prince Albert's Boston Bilous 1-0 special over Saskatoon. Both goaltenders made 26 saves in their efforts and both came on September 21st.
Four goaltenders have a 1.00 goals against average. They are Seattle's Roddy Ross, Todd Scott of Edmonton, David Tendeck of Vancouver and Bryan Thompson of Lethbridge. Ross's .980 saves percentage is the league's best.
6,221. That's what Saskatoon drew in their home opener. It's the league's best so far. Portland's 2 home games last weekend against Tri-City and Kamloops (Both wins) drew a total of 11,
Transactions:
Edmonton sent Raaphael Pelletier to Swift Current for a 2020 4th round Bantam pick.
Kamloops traded Jerzy Orchard, a second round 2022 pick and a third round 2021 pick to Saskatoon for Ryan Hughes.
Edmonton traded their 4th round 2020 pick and 5th round pick in 2021 to Spokane for Etham McIndoe.
Prince Albert's 5th round Bantam pick in 2021 goes to Vancouver for Brayden Watts
