Around the Dub













Here' what's happening around the Western Hockey League:

Edmonton holds the number one spot overall in the WHL, with a record of 8-1-3-0, good for 19 points.Medicine Hat, Prince Albert and Lethbridge are all 2 points back.

Brandon's 10 goals in a win at Tri-City on October 22nd, is tied for the league high. Medicine Hat scored  10 on September 28th. Brandon's 19 assists in that game at Tri-City is a league high.

Calgary has drawn 30,519 in 6 home games. a league-high average of 5,087.

Bryce Kindopp of Everett has 10 goals and 8 assists, to lead the league with 18 points.
His 10 goals lead the league as well. Zane Franklin of Kamloops and Aliaksei Protos are tops in the WHL with 10 assists.

Dylan Garand of Kamloops and Joel Hofer of Portland both have 7 wins in net to top the WHL. Sebastian Cossa has played 4 games, but he's made them count. His 1.46 goals against Average leads the WHL. Best save percentage is held by Cossa also has the league's best save percentage, at .952.

Transactions:

On October 13th, Everett sent Reece Vitelli and a 2nd round and 4th round pick in 2021 draft and a conditional 3rd round pick in 2022 to Prince Albert to Cole Fonstad.

On October 15th, Prince Albert made another deal. sending an 8th round pick in 2022 to Winnipeg for Duncan McGovern. They also sent Brent Balas to Spokane for a 9th round pick in 2023.

On October 19th, the Prince George Cougars traded Jackson Leppard to Winnipeg for Marco Creta, Holden Kodak, a 3rd round pick in 2021, a 3rd round pick in 2022 and a conditional 5th round pick in 2022.

On October 21st, Prince Albert continued their shake-up, moving Donovan Buskey to Regina for Matthew Pesenti.

And on October 22nd, Calgary;s 8th round pick was sent to Regina for Blake Allen.
